I live at the Jersey Shore, and a tree fell in my daughter's room (we weren't there - thank God! - but she lost a lot of things. She is 10 months old. I know that many of her things will eventually be replaced by FEMA, etc., but that will take ages. I am unemployed, don't have money for gas, but I, myself, am doing ok. I am down to basically no money and her father hasn't been able to work since Friday because of the storm because his office was located in Belmar, which is now under water. My daughter needs the following things as quickly as possible:
- Crib bedding
- Similac Alimentum (cans were lost due to water damage)
- Baby food, juice, yogurt, that kind of thing
- Infant Tylenol/Motrin
Our local food banks are pretty sparse as you can imagine and Im doing what I can. WIC checks aren't being accepted, but even that will only replace 3 cans of formula, 16 jars of food, and 3 boxes of baby cereal. Estimated wait for WIC checks being replaced is at least a week and we need things asap for her. She was just at Jersey Shore University Hospital last night with a fever and is going through meds pretty quickly, and they're really expensive.
Anyway, you get the picture. I can meet you locally or a WaMart gift card, or something along that line would be awesome. Not sure if those things can be purchased online and shipped, but, can do that too. Im staying at a friends house in Jackson, NJ right now - so anywhere local to that would work, but not much further as I am limited on gas and money to purchase gas.
Thank you so much in advance...McKayla thanks you too!
